Offers from vetted buyers
If you want to proceed, we introduce you to the buyers you choose. They make the offer, handle de-identification and the contract, and pay your company directly.
04 · Privacy
We never see your data.
DataPayout is an independent introducer, not a data company. We point you to the right buyers, then step aside.
We hold nothing
We never connect to your Slack, email or drives. The valuation only asks seven questions about your company.
De-identified by the buyer
Buyers remove names, contact details and other personal information before anything is used for training.
Direct to the buyer
If you go ahead, data moves from you to the buyer you chose, under an agreement you sign with them.
You decide, at no cost
No obligation and nothing to sign with us. We never charge your company; buyers may pay us a referral fee.
05 · Public ranges
What buyers publicly say they pay
The ranges our valuation is calibrated on, taken from each organisation's public website. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, and no range is a guarantee.

Why would AI labs pay for my company's data?
Models are largely trained on public internet text. To get better at real professional work, labs need examples of how work actually gets done inside companies: conversations, documents, tickets and code. Several companies now license this kind of data from businesses, and the trend has been covered in the press (e.g. MIT Technology Review, October 2026). Read the article
What does this cost my company?
Nothing. We never charge the company. Buyers we introduce you to may pay us a referral fee, and we disclose that up front. You're always free to contact any buyer directly instead.
Is the estimate an offer?
No. It is an indicative estimate based on publicly published ranges. Actual offers are made by buyers after they review your data and can be higher, lower, or no offer at all.
Do you see or store my company's data?
No. We never connect to your systems and never receive your data. We only store the details you type into the form, so we can arrange your introduction. Any data transfer happens directly between you and the buyer, under an agreement you sign with them.
What about employee and customer privacy?
Buyers de-identify data before it is used for training, removing names, contact details and other personal information. You'll review the buyer's agreement before anything is shared, and we recommend having your own legal counsel look at it.
Who qualifies?
Most buyers currently look for companies with 20–30+ employees, at least 3 years of records, mostly English-language data, based in the US, UK or Canada. Smaller companies and closed-company archives can still have value, usually at the lower end.
My company has closed or been acquired. Is it too late?
Not necessarily. Archives of closed companies are also licensed, typically for less than live operating data. For acquired companies, data rights usually sit with the acquirer, so they need to be involved.
Why go through us instead of straight to a buyer?
You can absolutely go direct, and we show you how. Our free valuation is for companies that want a second opinion: which buyers fit, what's realistic for your profile, and what to look out for before you sign.
